BIG BAD & RED - “BONNIE AND CLYDE”

A pulp-cartoon reimagining of Little Red Riding Hood, rebuilt as a tattooed outlaw and her bad wolf on the run.
Fusing retro hot-rod Americana, pin-up energy, and modern 2D design, this project pushes exaggerated anatomy and bold shape language to the edge of animation.

The final “Keep Blazing” composition captures the tone of the world, a mix of chaos, color, and smoke. Red and Clyde tear across a neon wasteland in a visual love letter to 1970s pin-up art, muscle cars, and grindhouse cartoons.

CHARACTER DESIGN — FINAL COLOR ROTATIONS

Final color character builds designed for animation and illustration. Each rotation was rendered with shape clarity in mind, bold silhouettes, balanced exaggeration, and color harmony that holds up across every angle.

LINEWORK FOUNDATIONS

Early clean line passes built in vector for precision. These served as the structural backbone for paint and shading development, maintaining a uniform contour weight and motion-ready silhouette across all rotations.

EARLY DEVELOPMENT & SKETCH WORK

The early drawings focused on proportion rhythm, gesture exaggeration, and personality exploration. Even at the rough stage, the design intent was clear, push attitude first, then refine into stylized production forms.

TOOLS & PIPELINE

Vector illustration and digital paint created in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Character pipeline structured for 2D rigged animation and motion study.
